All our clients are required to provide information to complete a Client Card at the first appointment. It is vital that the information provided is correct and regularly updated with everything we need to know about your dog’s health and behaviour. It is the owner’s sole responsibility to advise us of any changes at future appointments.
By completing the Client Card the owner confirms agreement to these terms and conditions stated and that we may rely on the information provided for future reference.
We will not share customer details with any other organisations. However, we may contact owners by phone, text, email or post with useful news, offers and service updates. We may also photograph or video groomed dogs and use these images on our website and other social media pages. The owner must let us know if they DO NOT wish to receive such information or DO NOT want us to use images of their dog.
At the time of your appointment please ensure your dog is fit and healthy and all vaccinations are up to date. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs is entirely at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems for which we cannot be held liable for.
All dogs MUST be adequately toileted prior to their grooming appointment.
Dogs with extremely matted coats will incur additional charges. If we believe that de-matting a dog will cause too much stress and discomfort we will recommend a complete shave off or shave off the area affected, according to the Animal Welfare Act.
This will dramatically change a dog’s appearance, as remaining hair will be short and close to the skin, the owner should be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process and it is possible the dog’s skin may get caught due to the close proximity of the blades that will be used.
Totally Mutts Dog Grooming Services shall not be held liable for any effects of de-matting and the clipping procedures or problems uncovered on a badly matted and/or neglected coat. The owner will be required to pay all costs whether or not the groomer is able to complete the job due to any unforeseen issues arising during this process.
If a dog becomes seriously ill whilst in our care we may call an emergency vet and unless it can be clearly shown that Totally Mutts Dog Grooming Services are liable, all vet costs incurred shall be at the owners expense.
We may refuse to groom a dog that presents a risk of injury to either us, themselves or other dogs on the premises at the same time.

IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 2 OCCASSIONS OF NO SHOW/ LATE CANCELLATIONS WITHIN A 12 MONTH PERIOD YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRE-PAY FOR APPOINTMENTS
